Jeromy’s first book QLab 3 Show Control: Projects for Live Performances and Installations was released in 2013 from Focal Press.

Used from Broadway to Britain’s West End, QLab software is the tool of choice for many of the world’s most prominent sound, projection, and integrated media designers. QLab 3 Show Control: Projects for Live Performances & Installations is a project-based book on QLab software covering sound, video, and show control. With information on both sound and video system basics and the more advanced functions of QLab such as MIDI show control, new OSC capabilities, networking, video effects, and microphone integration, each chapter’s specific projects will allow you to learn the software’s capabilities at your own pace. Tutorials and additional resources are featured at focalpress.com/cw/hopgood.

    1. Daniel, so glad to hear of your interest. The book will be available in the US and UK as both paper and eBook. The date for the eBook is not yet released, but it will quickly follow the print release. For what kinds of projects do you use QLab?

      1. Thanks for your fast reply. I have been using Qlab2 for 3years (and recently Qlab3) mostly for video in corporate events, but also some theatre audio stuff. I´m always looking for new ideas and ways to use Qlab. Is there a way to preorder the eBook?

        All best from Finland.

      2. There is not yet a preorder for the eBook, but if you follow me on the blog or Facebook, I will announce it as soon as I know. Thanks again. Great to hear from Finland!
